We did, so we decided to combine these wonderful aspects into a place we call the Mandolin Café - where fresh roasted coffee, exotic loose-leaf teas and fine wines await your palate.

The Coffee
Step inside our cafe and the fresh aroma will surround you. Valhalla beans are roasted on site daily, with only the freshest beans. Roasting master AJ Anderson can be found in his roasting section of the cafe, conducting the roast, selling his packaged beans, or sharing the Valhalla story. The Wine
We have a large selection of wine which we hand select for our customers. We have regular wine tastings on Fridays from 6pm to 8pm featuring new and exciting wines with knowledgeable people on hand to help develop your wine palate. We also carry several domestic, imported and micro brews for the beer lovers.

The Tea
For all those who love tea, you'll definitely appreciate our diverse loose leaf selection. We feature one of the best tea selections in Tacoma. The health benefits of tea are outstanding; the antioxidants and antibacterial properties have been found to enhance immune function in many ways. Tea is what the Tibetans call "the water of long life".

The Music
The Puget Sound has some incredibly talented artists and the Mandolin is proud to host great live music almost every night of the week. Currently, the Mandolin does not pay these artists so they depend on your support. Help us help them by coming in and enjoying great Blues, Jazz (and other genres) and dropping them a tip!
